About Jacob

My name is Jacob and I have been performing and playing music since the age of 10. I graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in Creative Music Technology in 2021. Since then I've continued to play in bands and work in the music tech industry. Not that qualifications are everything but I understand they help to understand my experience so I've left a list of mine below: BA(Hons) in Creative Music Technology Grade 8 Bass Grade 6 Classical Piano Grade 5 Jazz Piano Grade 5 Theory I hope you'll consider me as your new bass tutor and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

About the lesson

My aim is to give every student a comfortable and fun experience to start learning music because at the end of the day music should be enjoyed. I prepare each lesson to match the student's ability level and take into account what you'd like to gain out of the lesson, but also include what I believe are useful steps to get you there without picking up bad habits along the way. To me, one of the most important aspects of learning any instrument is that the student should be able to develop their own authentic approach to the instrument. The Lessons can be as short or as long as you'd like however I'd recommend at least 30 mins - 1 hour.
