About Elaine
With 10 years of teaching experience, I specialise in helping students from school, college, and professional backgrounds develop their piano skills with clarity and confidence. I strongly believe that every student can learn piano with proper guidance, patience, and encouragement.
My teaching methodology is adaptable, as I carefully assess each student’s current level, interests, and learning style, then design lessons that ensure steady progress. I focus on developing essentials like finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading while gradually introducing music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to build well-rounded musical skills.
Lessons are interactive, engaging, and often include song practice and creative exercises to keep students motivated. I aim to help students overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop consistent practice habits.
My ultimate goal is to provide a supportive, positive, and inspiring learning environment where students can enjoy music and grow into skilled and confident pianists.

Creativity is central to my teaching. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and explore different musical styles, helping them develop artistic confidence and a unique musical voice. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and preferred learning style, fostering a productive and enjoyable environment.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive methodology develops technical skills, expressive ability, and musical understanding. My goal is to help students become confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
