Seeing and simplifying is believing! I believe it is imperative that difficult concepts are broken down piece by piece, with the small chunks often needing explaining first in order for the learner to unlock the next pieces of the puzzle. While all this is going on, communication must be maintained. If one still does not understand, I will explain it from a different angle, and why not see the beauty of it all along the way! Since Physics and Mathematics are black and white, there is no point trying to explain the big picture without the student not understanding the smaller components needed to see the whole concept.
