About Elizaine

I am a native speaker of the Brazilian variation of Portuguese and I hold an upper second class BA honors in Linguistics and Spanish with Birkbeck College- University of London.

I do not only come from a family of highly renowned teachers but I also have experience tutoring Language for school children in Brazil. I am passionate about languages and cultures, which I acquire whistle traveling, and my language skills are not only gained in the classroom but also through full immersion experiences.
Born and raised in Brazil, I have learned English in England and studied Spanish both in England and Spain.

I am committed to sharing my knowledge and experiences with my clients by promoting a creative learning environment and sharing the benefits and importance of learning a foreign, second, or heritage language.
In my classes, I use a mixture of powerpoint presentations, handouts, literature, music/audio, and games. I provide all the resource needed and I also provide students with extra material and coaching for self-study. My teaching methods consist of directing and grammar-translations.

Perfect! Wonderful Teacher
I am a ‘mature student’ learning Brazilian. It is a long time since I’ve been in a classroom to learn anything & languages was always difficult however Elizaine has made it a pleasure. She is so patient with me & explains it so well. She is encouraging & reassuring & a joy to be taught by. If anyone is nervous like I am I would highly recommend her.

I have known Elizaine for many years as a fellow student and she has always endeavoured to work to achieve the highest level of success. She is extremely professional and resourceful and this also makes her an excellent person in supporting others around her. Elizaine came to my rescue when I needed an expert who would support, mentor and assess my students during their GCSE exams. Her command of English helped them to understand and complete their work to an exemplary standard.
