About Heli
My name is Heli and I have been living in Australia for seven years. I am currently studying Bachelor of Languages ANU majoring in Japanese. My hobbies are dancing, watching TV drama and doing sports. I also love traveling and learning about different cultures especially their history and cuisines. Besides Japanese I am also learning French, which is my fifth language so I have quite a bit experience in learning languages such as good hacks and methods. I can promise that I will keep my lessons fun and entertaining as I prioritise application of new learnt content and wellbeing over test grades or strictly following a course.

I prefer engaging and fun ways to learn common phrases and new vocabularies instead of memorising off from a vocab list or writing it repeatedly to get the strokes right. I would have fun and entertaining small quizzes here and there making sure the student has been following up and revising themselves and I will be always encouraging and give positive feedbacks as I know this is very crucial for them to keep having interests in whatever they are learning. My lessons are suitable for native English speakers learning Chinese or students who have Chinese background but was born in or grew up in Australia as I can explain concepts and meaning in both languages. As I like having fun lessons it would suitable for students in primary school or even preschool.
