Hi, I’m Sai Sri Vidhya!
As a final-year biochemistry student at Queen’s University Belfast and the founder of my own science-based skincare brand, my passion lies in making biology clear, engaging, and directly applicable. I understand firsthand that mastering biology requires more than just memorising facts; it takes genuine understanding, structured study habits, and complete confidence in your exam technique.
Having navigated the demands of higher-level science, I bring a structured, patient, and highly professional approach to every session. My lessons are specifically tailored for Key Stage 3 and GCSE students (Years 8 to 12) studying under the CCEA exam board in Northern Ireland. Whether a student is building their core scientific foundations in KS3 or preparing for their crucial GCSE Unit 1, Unit 2, and Practical Skills assessments, I provide structured, engaging support.
My teaching approach focuses on four core pillars to help students excel in CCEA Biology. First, I focus on concept simplification, breaking down complex topics like genetics, enzymes, and cell transport into clear, visual steps using interactive whiteboards. Second, because CCEA examiners are notoriously strict with keywords, I emphasise mark scheme precision by teaching students how to decode command words (explain vs describe) and master 6-mark QWC questions to maximise their scores. Third, every lesson incorporates active past paper practice to eliminate common traps and build authentic exam-day confidence. Finally, I prioritise parent partnership, providing regular progress feedback so parents are always kept in the loop on their child's growth and areas for improvement.
Standard lessons are 60 minutes long—the ideal length to cover a dedicated topic, work through past paper practice, and review questions without fatigue. Delivered 1-to-1 or in small group study sessions online via Zoom or Google Meet using interactive visual tools.
As a final-year biochemistry student at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), I bring a deep, rigorous understanding of the biological sciences alongside strong familiarity with the Northern Ireland CCEA curriculum, exam structures, and mark scheme expectations for years 8 through 12. As the founder of my own science-based skincare startup, Balvedhaa, I blend academic expertise with real-world scientific applications, making biology practical, relevant, and genuinely exciting for students to learn.
