About Charolisa
Simple patterns create the best foundations. Chords need space. I use my BM Popular Music from the Université de Montréal to explain theory without losing the rhythm of our jam.
We prioritize reading tabs, cleaning up chord transitions, and refining your approach to blues progressions. My 13 years of experience ensures that every minute is spent building actual playing ability rather than just reading notes. Writing original music becomes much easier once you master these core skills. Enjoying the progress is the best part of the process.

Music instruction serves as my favorite way to keep the tradition of chanson française and folk alive. Sometimes I think my guitar has seen more stages than my own living room. After 13 years of experience and teaching 439 students, I have learned that technique must serve the soul. Whether we are drilling power chords or complex barre chords, I emphasize clarity and feel.
Kids and teens appreciate the direct path to playing their favorite songs. Returning learners find that sharpening their music theory and electric technique opens new doors.
