About Aya
I love science, and I love teaching. I hold advance degrees in science and have been tutoring since 2012. I believe I can reach and relate to the students, and make the (sometimes very daunting) scientific concepts simple. I believe in building from the basics up, and ensuring application throughout. My students not only know how to use a certain formula, but they understand how we got there and why it works. This ensures that they are able to apply it regardless of the context. I truly care not only for their success but to imprint and pass on a passion and love for science and a curiosity for the world around us.

As a MSc holder in Biotechnology from McGill with an Honours BSc in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology, I believe I have a solid understanding of scientific concepts, and can be successful in explaining my knowledge efficiently. I have over 12 years of tutoring experience, and have a vast number of skills and tricks to help teach, as well as the patience, empathy, and wisdom to tutor a large range of ages, and even students with learning disabilities.
I teach through building fundamental understanding by drawing successful metaphors and comparisons to the world around us, and consistent practice to ensure application of the theory knowledge. I have a 100% success and maintenance rate. I make myself available to the students and truly care for their success.
