About Merania
Ko Merania tōku ingoa. Noo Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Korokī Kahukura, Nō te Moutere o Kuki Airani ahau.
My name is Merania. I am from New Zealand and the Cook Islands. I am a passionate tutor with years of experience helping students achieve their academic goals.
A little about me: I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History & Linguistics (2020) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (2024), majoring in Medical Genomics. I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours).
My journey began in the humanities and evolved into a love for science, but teaching has always been my true passion! I'm starting my honors in Biomedical Science this year and am based in Melbourne.

With over 3 years of professional tutoring experience in English and Math for students in grades 1-9, I specialize in:

As tangata whenua of Aotearoa, I am excited to incorporate Māori, Pasifika, and Indigenous literature into my lessons. These stories provide relatable, empowering content for rangatahi who may find traditional English lessons less engaging. Of course, I’ll also include some timeless classics that I believe students will enjoy!
