About Asher
I have recently completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine and Commerce to a high academic standard and have been tutoring math and science for over 5 years. Throughout this time, I’ve helped high school students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve consistent improvements in their results.
I placed in the top 9% of candidates overall in the Graduate Medicine Admission Test, and in the top 4% in the science section, reflecting a strong foundation in scientific reasoning, problem-solving, and clear explanation of complex concepts. My teaching focuses on helping students understand why concepts work, not just memorizing steps or formulas.
I am currently preparing to pursue postgraduate study in medicine, and I bring a calm, structured, and supportive approach to my lessons.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy learning about science and health, staying active, and continuously improving the way I teach and explain challenging ideas.

Tutoring Approach:
My tutoring focuses on helping students understand concepts clearly and build confidence in maths and science. I break topics down into simple, logical steps and explain ideas in a way that’s easy to follow, ensuring students understand the why, not just the steps to memorise.
Lessons are structured but flexible, targeting problem areas first and then reinforcing learning through worked examples and practice questions.
