Hi there! I’m Saakithya.

I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences with the intention of progressing into Dentistry. My academic path reflects both my strong interest in science and my long-term commitment to healthcare. Through my studies, I have developed analytical thinking, discipline, and a deep appreciation for structured learning — qualities that strongly influence my approach to teaching.

I want to teach because I understand how challenging academic subjects can feel without the right support. Having navigated rigorous scientific coursework myself, I appreciate the importance of clear explanations, strong foundations, and consistent practice. I find it genuinely rewarding to help students gain clarity, improve their confidence, and recognise their own capability.

As someone pursuing a career in Dentistry, I value precision, problem-solving, and effective communication — all skills that translate directly into tutoring. My goal is not just to help students achieve higher grades, but to encourage independent thinking, resilience, and a positive mindset towards learning.

Teaching allows me to make a meaningful impact while continuing to grow academically and professionally myself.

About the lesson

I am a dedicated Maths tutor with strong subject knowledge in GCSE Mathematics, and I focus on building secure conceptual understanding rather than memorisation. My teaching methodology is structured and adaptive: I break down complex topics into clear, logical steps, use multiple explanation styles (visual models, algebraic reasoning, and exam-based application), and ensure students understand the WHY behind each method. I place strong emphasis on exam technique, common mistake analysis, and building mathematical confidence.

A typical lesson lasts 60-90 minutes, depending on the level of Mathematics and is structured as follows:

* Brief retrieval practice to consolidate prior learning
* Clear explanation of a key concept
* Guided examples with step-by-step reasoning
* Independent exam-style questions
* Targeted feedback and strategy refinement

I have strong experience supporting students through the GCSE syllabus (Foundation and Higher tier), including algebra, number, ratio, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving. I help students strengthen core skills while also developing the analytical thinking required for higher-grade questions.

My lessons are suitable for KS3 and GCSE students (Years 7–11), who want to improve understanding, boost confidence, or achieve higher grades.

I am committed to creating a supportive but academically rigorous environment where students feel challenged, capable, and motivated to succeed.
