About Lainey

Hello! I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Health Sciences, with the goal of becoming a licensed physician. I have a strong passion for science (especially biology), and I truly enjoy helping others better understand these subjects.

As a tutor, I focus on identifying the root of a student’s confusion so we can build a clear and lasting understanding from the ground up. I take a patient and supportive approach, making sure students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges at their own pace. My goal is not only to help you improve your grades, but also to help you feel more confident and capable in your learning.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m a biology tutor who loves helping students feel more confident in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming. As a current science student, I totally understand how confusing certain topics can be, and I’m here to make things easier and less stressful.

My teaching style is very flexible and personalized. I like to break things down into simple steps and explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense. Whether you’re more of a visual learner, need lots of practice problems, or just want someone to walk you through things at your own pace, I’ll adjust to what works best for you. I always aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions—no judgment at all.

In a typical session, we’ll start by going over what you’re currently learning or what you need the most help with. I’ll explain the concepts, work through examples with you, and then let you try some on your own while I guide you. I also like to share study tips and helpful tricks to make things stick.

What makes me different is that I really focus on understanding, not just getting the right answer. I want you to leave each session feeling more confident and capable than when you started. Plus, since I’m a student too, I can relate to what you’re going through and explain things in a way that feels approachable.

My lessons are great for middle school, high school, and early college students who need help with biology, general science, or algebra—whether you’re trying to catch up, prepare for a test, or just stay on track.
