I aim to provide a well rounded understanding of the subject knowledge rather than just parrot learning. I believe it is important to fully understand the reasoning behind anything being learnt, as that not only will make the topic more secure in your mind, but also with exams looking more to assess the students ability to think laterally and use knowledge to solve new problems, this is essential so earning those higher grades.
My sessions can be between 30-90 minutes, however I prefer providing more frequent sessions with shorter lengths (e.g. 45 minutes, 3 times every 2 weeks) as that allows for better learning in my experience.
I am currently a student using my knowledge of Maths and Science in my degree and am constantly using the skills I gained at GCSE and A level. For GCSE, I gained all 9s for Sciences and Maths, and for A-levels, I gained A*s in Chemistry, Biology and Maths, as well as an A in Further Maths. I have recent experience of what is required to earn the top grades in these exams and have experience tutoring others in these subjects to gain top level grades.
I also have much experience in teaching teens in an engaging way as an instructor for RAF Air Cadets.
I am able to tutor up to A-level in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and GCSE for Physics. I can accept anyone in the age range of 13-18.
