About Faheema
I am a university graduate with a strong academic background in biology, research, academic writing, and entrepreneurship. I received my degree at the University of Victoria in Canada. Throughout university, I developed extensive experience with research papers, literature reviews, presentations, scientific communication, and turning complex information into clear, well-structured writing.
I also have a strong interest and background in entrepreneurship and business development, including idea development, feasibility analysis, market research, marketing strategy, financial planning, business structure, and risk analysis. I particularly enjoy helping students take an idea that feels scattered or overwhelming and turn it into a logical, well-supported project or presentation.
Because my experience crosses both science and entrepreneurship, I am comfortable working with students on a wide range of subjects.
I am patient, organized, and detail-oriented, and I take the time to understand each student's individual goals and challenges.

I help students become more confident writers by breaking the writing process into manageable steps. Instead of simply correcting a paper, I explain why something works or does not work so that students can apply the same skills independently in future assignments.
Lessons are personalized depending on what you are working on. We might start by understanding an assignment and developing ideas, then work on thesis statements, paragraph structure, evidence, transitions, grammar and clarity. If you already have a draft, we can go through it together and identify specific ways to strengthen it while keeping your own ideas and writing voice.
A typical lesson may include:
-understanding the assignment and planning an approach
-brainstorming and organizing ideas
-developing a strong thesis or argument
-improving paragraph structure and flow
-integrating research and evidence effectively
-grammar, sentence structure and proofreading
-citation and reference formatting
-reviewing instructor feedback and learning how to apply it
My university background has given me extensive experience with academic, research and scientific writing, so I am especially comfortable helping students who struggle with turning complicated ideas into clear, organized writing. I focus on explaining concepts patiently and adapting lessons to how each student learns rather than using the same approach for everyone.
Lessons are suitable for high school and undergraduate students, including students who want general writing support, help improving essays and research papers, or additional guidance with scientific and academic writing.
