About Alajah
I am currently 2nd year Medical Laboratory Science major at Xavier University of Louisiana. I am a very patient and accommodating tutor. As a student, I have learned that the key to doing well in school is learning how to learn and I have spent countless hours figuring out what learning looks like and means to me. As a tutor, my biggest goal is to help my student become more confident in their course by guiding them through the material while also helping them find ways to learn that works best for them. I not only want to encourage my students to pass their class but empower them with transferrable study and test taking skills to support them throughout their education journey.

Whether you're at a loss for what is happening in your biology class or just want a better understanding of a specific topic, I am here to help. As a tutor, I enjoy teaching, but I also love to be taught, so during our lessons, I love for my students to teach me what they know. I am a student myself, and along my academic journey, I have found that learning by taking turns leading and learning is the best way to grasp tough concepts. I am a firm believer that if you can teach it, you know it, and by having students teach the material, they can find what they know but also find out what they don't, and from there, we can work together to help them come to a better understanding of the material.
I currently offer tutoring to students at any level up to collegiate level 2 biology.
