I’m a passionate Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. My expertise lies in corrosion chemistry and protection methods, where I aim to make complex ideas simple and practical. I focus on teaching electrochemical corrosion mechanisms so students truly understand how and why corrosion occurs.
We explore passivation and how it naturally protects metals, along with ways to enhance it artificially. I also cover cathodic protection, including sacrificial anodes and impressed current methods, to give a complete picture. Material selection for corrosion resistance is another key area, helping students learn to choose the right materials for specific environments.
To make learning engaging, I incorporate industrial case studies and real-world examples of material degradation. This approach turns theory into practice and shows how corrosion impacts everything from pipelines to bridges. My lessons combine clear explanations with hands-on problem solving and active discussion.
