About Maia
I hold a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and have 7 years of experience teaching students from various academic levels. My teaching emphasizes clarity, conceptual understanding, and critical thinking while fostering curiosity and analytical skills. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop independent reasoning.
I tailor lessons specially to each student, offering foundational support from beginners to advanced challenges to more experienced learners. I use visuals, practical examples, and interactive discussions to ensure comprehension and engagement.

Biology becomes truly engaging when learners see connections between microscopic processes and life around them. My lessons cover genetics, cell biology, physiology, ecology, and molecular biology, combining visual explanations, case studies, and interactive discussions. I focus on developing conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and analytical thinking. Students are encouraged to ask questions, interpret observations, and explore experiments, fostering independent thinking while building confidence in their knowledge and skills.
Lessons are adapted to the student’s level. Beginners learn fundamental cell structures, basic anatomy, and simple ecological principles. Intermediate learners study molecular pathways, genetic principles, physiological systems, and species interactions. Advanced learners explore bioinformatics, experimental design, and evolutionary theory. Exercises, problem-solving examples, and guided discussions reinforce understanding and analytical skills at every stage.
The goal of my biology lessons is to cultivate curiosity, observation skills, and methodical thinking.
