About Hayden
My fascination with biology began with a desire to understand life at both microscopic and ecosystem levels. This passion led me to pursue a B.Sc in Molecular Biology followed by an M.Sc in Environmental Science, equipping me with expertise in cellular processes, genetics, ecology, and conservation. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with learners of varying levels, helping them grasp complex biological concepts through structured guidance, practical examples, and interactive exploration.
I believe effective teaching in biology requires patience, clarity, and adaptability. Many learners struggle with abstract ideas or complex processes, so I emphasize breaking down difficult topics, connecting theory to real-life examples, and fostering curiosity through active experimentation. Each student receives individualized support to build both understanding and confidence in their ability to explore biology independently.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with scientific developments, research papers, and conservation initiatives, bringing contemporary knowledge into the classroom. Seeing students grow from tentative learners into confident, curious thinkers is deeply rewarding. Supporting their academic growth while instilling a lifelong appreciation for biology is the most fulfilling part of my work.
