About Julia
I earned my Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Nevada–Reno, where I participated in molecular biology camps, environmental science events, and K–12 outreach programs. With 7+ years of tutoring experience, I’ve taught beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced science students preparing for deeper biology topics. In Biology, I help students understand life by explaining it like a story. Microbiology becomes easier when we relate microorganisms to food, water, soil, and everyday surroundings. Cell Biology becomes clear when we imagine each organelle as a hardworking member of a tiny living system. Genetics becomes exciting when students see how family traits appear, and why DNA works like a recipe for life.
Physiology becomes meaningful when students understand how organs and systems keep us alive every second. Molecular Biology, which many young learners find difficult, becomes simple when broken into small, steady steps—how DNA is read, how proteins are built, and how cells communicate. Biotechnology becomes fascinating when tied to medicine, agriculture, and modern science. Throughout the lesson, I clear doubts instantly and repeat explanations as many times as needed until everything feels fully understood.
