About Emerson
I completed my Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati, where I assisted with science mentoring programs for middle- and high-school students. Over 7 years of teaching, including five years of online tutoring, I’ve developed a warm, structured approach that helps students feel safe, curious, and capable in science.

Biology becomes easier when each topic is connected like pieces of a puzzle. I teach Microbiology as the world of invisible life, Cell Biology as the structure behind everything living, Physiology as the coordinated story of organs working together, Genetics as the rules behind traits, and Biotechnology as modern science shaping the future.
My lessons help students relate biological ideas to everyday experiences — breathing, digestion, healing, plant growth, food science — so concepts settle naturally in their memory. Instead of memorizing blindly, they learn to understand and interpret. This prepares them perfectly for college-level biology, where thinking deeply is more important than recalling definitions.
