About Barry
I have 34 years of experience as a biology teacher and conservationist. My life's work is to communicate my love of nature and the life sciences. I've taught a wide range of courses across the biology curriculum to students ranging in age from 13 to adult. I have mentored students in independent research and taught study skills to high school students. As a teacher, I specialized in introducing high school students to ecological principles through biological field work. I'm considered by my students to be a humorous, engaging, inspiring, and compassionate teacher.
