About Sophie
I am a recent school graduate who is looking to build experience in tutoring and knows how to approach Biology in both an interactive and informative way! In my opinion, the student’s love for a subject is influenced by the teacher and the methods used during the lessons, so my prime focus as a tutor is to capture their attention and make the lessons as interesting as possible. I have sat the Leaving Certificate Biology exam of 2025 and received a H1 with a total of 590 points, and therefore have first-hand experience with dealing with the intricacies of the subject and the exam in itself. In addition, my father is a biologist, so from a very young age I have been passionate about the subject and wish to share it!

☆ I teach 5th and 6th year Biology students to prepare them for the HL Biology Leaving Certificate exam.
☆ The lessons are a hour long and are done via Teams.
☆ I have tutored my peers in Biology and a range of other subjects, as well as having experience in bilingual babysitting.
☆ By making specialised presentations as well as the use of active recall during my lessons I try my best to engage the student whilst keeping the information relevant to the course.
