About Tara
Hi, I'm Tara! I recently finished my GCSEs, achieving some of my grade 9s in Biology, Physics, and English. I'm passionate about helping students build confidence in these subjects and reach their full potential, having just gone through the exact same exams myself.
I know how stressful GCSEs can feel, and I aim to make lessons clear, supportive, and focused on real results/improvement.

I recently sat my GCSEs and achieved grade 9s in Biology, Physics, and English and other subjects, so I know exactly what examiners are looking for and what actually is required to move up your grade.
I focus on:
Exam technique first – breaking down past paper questions to show exactly how marks are gained (or lost)
Filling knowledge gaps – identifying weak topics quickly and explaining them in language that will be better remembered and understood by the student
Active recall over re-reading – using flashcards, quick-fire questioning, and practice problems rather than just going over notes
Confidence building – GCSEs can feel overwhelming, so I keep sessions relaxed and encouraging while still being focused
I use SaveMyExams for some of my lesson materials, a resource that was incredibly useful to me at GCSE.
Lesson length: Sessions typically run for 1 hour, which gives enough time to cover a topic properly and work through exam-style questions
My experience: I completed my GCSEs in 2025, achieving some of my grade 9s in Biology, Physics, and English Language/Literature. I understand the current specifications inside out, having just been examined on them myself.
Who this is for: Students studying GCSE Biology, Physics, or English, at any level from just starting the course to revising for their mocks all the way until their final exams next summer!
