About Niamh
I am a qualified secondary school teacher with a degree in Civil Engineering, Mathematics and Science from Maynooth University. I am passionate about teaching Math and Biology and take pride in building strong, positive relationships with my students. I believe that learning is most effective when students feel comfortable, understood, and supported.
My teaching style is approachable, patient, and encouraging. I take time to get to know each student individually, understanding their strengths, challenges, and learning style. This allows me to tailor lessons to suit their needs and help them progress at their own pace.
I aim to inspire confidence by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions. I am a qualified secondary school teacher with a degree in Civil Engineering, Mathematics and Science from Maynooth University. I tutor Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students in Maths and Biology, both Higher and Ordinary Level. My lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although this can be adjusted depending on student needs. I use a step-by-step, structured teaching approach that focuses on building strong understanding before moving to exam-style questions. I incorporate clear explanations, worked examples, visual aids, and active recall techniques to support long-term learning. A strong emphasis is placed on exam technique, past paper practice, and developing student confidence. Each lesson is tailored to the individual, ensuring targeted support and steady progress
