About Isabelle
My interest in biology began from a fascination with living organisms and the complex systems that sustain life. This passion led me to pursue a B.Sc in Biology and an M.Sc in Cellular Biology, equipping me with a solid understanding of both theoretical principles and practical laboratory experience. Over the last 9 years, I have guided students across different levels, helping them connect complex topics to practical examples while building confidence and curiosity.
I use interactive and student-centred teaching approaches, combining diagrams, real-life examples, and hands-on exercises to make abstract concepts tangible. I encourage learners to ask questions, think critically, and explore ideas independently. Every lesson is structured to balance clarity, engagement, and incremental growth, ensuring that students develop both understanding and confidence.
Outside the classroom, I remain connected to the latest research in genetics, ecology, and molecular biology, integrating current examples into my teaching. Watching students evolve from hesitant learners to confident thinkers who understand and appreciate life sciences is extremely rewarding. My aim is to inspire curiosity, analytical thinking, and a lifelong interest in biology in every student I teach.

Biology can become both exciting and approachable when students connect concepts to the world around them. My lessons cover cell biology, physiology, genetics, ecology, evolution, and human biology, all explained in simple, relatable language. I emphasise clear diagrams, real-life examples, and interactive discussion to ensure students understand processes, not just memorise facts. Each lesson encourages curiosity, careful observation, and analytical thinking, allowing learners to engage deeply with biological principles and practical applications in labs or experiments.
Lessons are carefully tailored to the student’s level. Beginners receive guidance on fundamental concepts such as cell structure, plant and animal systems, and basic ecology. Intermediate students explore molecular biology, genetics, and biochemical processes. Advanced learners work on experimental design, applied biology, and critical analysis of research data. Hands-on exercises, reasoning practice, and concept reinforcement help students steadily grow in understanding, confidence, and scientific thinking.
Studying biology helps students develop critical observation, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning skills. Understanding living systems fosters curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.
