About Thomas
Hi there, I'm Tom, a 23 year old long-time tutor from London. I've been tutoring since 2016 and have covered just about every different topic with every different age and level of student, so I'm confident with every student! As this is my full-time job I take it very seriously (not just another student trying to make some cash on the side...), so you can rest easy knowing every aspect of your lesson will be considered and taken care of. I know tutoring can sometimes feel like a chore, so I bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to my lessons, to help the time fly by quickly whilst also approaching ideas from an unorthodox angle to help really cement them in your mind. Through my extended time tutoring, I've come to the conclusion that the best way for my students to learn is to make it feel like they're not learning! With that said, I approach my lessons with a fun and upbeat attitude, aiming to approach topics from a different angle to what you might be used, using plenty of analogies and imagery to really nail those key concepts.
I generally have sessions of half an hour to an hour, but am flexible for whatever works for you. Tutoring for 7 years for various companies and with my own private clients, and experience in a school, you will experience a calm and competent teaching manner in any lesson.
I mainly tutor in A Level and GCSE of any curriculum, but can do KS3 also.
