About Gracie
I am a Biology graduate, graduating summa cum laude, and a current medical student with a strong passion for teaching and learning. My academic background has given me a deep understanding of the sciences and trained me to think critically rather than rely on memorization. This perspective allows me to teach material accurately, clearly, and with confidence.
Over the years, I have tutored students ranging from early elementary levels to university and adult learners in one-on-one and small-group settings. I value professionalism, clear communication, and preparation in every session, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them gain confidence in their ability to understand and master challenging subjects.

My approach as a tutor is centered on helping students understand the “why” behind what they are learning. I truly believe that science and other academic subjects do not need to be memorized in isolation, but instead understood through the logic that connects concepts together. When students see the rationale behind the material, learning becomes clearer, less intimidating, and far more effective.
A typical session starts with identifying what the student is struggling with or preparing for, such as an upcoming exam or a challenging topic. From there, I break the material down into simple, digestible pieces and guide students through the concepts step by step, using examples and practice questions when appropriate. What sets me apart is my ability to translate complex material into clear explanations while maintaining academic rigor. I tutor students from elementary levels through university and adult learners, particularly in biology, organic chemistry, math, and ESL, always tailoring lessons to the student’s level and goals.
