About Elliana
My interest in biology emerged from a desire to understand how living organisms grow, adapt, and maintain balance. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Biological Sciences followed by an M.Sc in Integrative Biology, where I explored both molecular mechanisms and whole-system interactions. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students navigate complex biological concepts with clarity and confidence.
I believe biology education should emphasize understanding rather than memorization. I take time to simplify complex ideas without reducing accuracy, helping students recognize patterns and connections that make learning manageable. I encourage open discussion so learners feel comfortable expressing uncertainty and curiosity.
Outside teaching, I stay connected with developments in biological research, health science, and education. Teaching biology is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow from surface-level learning into genuine scientific understanding and curiosity about the living world.

Biology lessons become engaging when students understand how individual components work together to sustain life. My teaching focuses on cell biology, genetics, human physiology, and ecological systems through structured explanation and clear visual reasoning. I help learners connect structure to function, emphasizing relationships rather than isolated facts. Lessons encourage curiosity and provide a supportive environment where questions are welcomed.
Lessons are carefully adapted to academic level. Beginners focus on foundational concepts such as cell structure, biomolecules, and basic system functions. Intermediate learners explore genetics, metabolic pathways, and organ system coordination. Advanced learners develop skills in experimental interpretation, application-based questions, and scientific reasoning. Concepts are reinforced through discussion and guided practice to ensure retention.
