About Wendy
My passion for biology began with curiosity about how organisms function and interact within ecosystems. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Molecular Biology, where I developed a deep understanding of cellular mechanisms, genetics, and ecological systems. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students develop confidence and clarity by transforming complex ideas into structured, approachable lessons that foster both understanding and curiosity. I approach teaching with patience and empathy, knowing that learners often struggle when concepts are presented abstractly. I focus on breaking down processes step by step, using diagrams, analogies, and interactive examples to make learning engaging. Encouraging questions and active participation is central to my approach, ensuring learners feel supported and motivated to explore further. Biology becomes far more engaging when students understand the connections between living systems, their environments, and the processes that sustain life. My lessons focus on providing clear explanations of cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, and evolution, allowing learners to build a structured conceptual framework. I emphasize visualization and logical reasoning so students can link theory to real-world biological phenomena. Each lesson is paced carefully, creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, questions, and active exploration.
Lesson content is customized to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on basic cell structure, classification, and fundamental physiological processes. Intermediate learners explore molecular biology, genetics, ecological interactions, and experimental observation. Advanced learners refine their understanding through discussions of evolution, homeostasis, complex physiological systems, and applied lab interpretations. Practical examples, diagrams, and interactive exercises are integrated throughout each session to reinforce understanding and build confidence.
