About Judy
Graduating with a BS Biology and Chemistry from UC Berkeley provided the foundation for my 10 years of classroom teaching. Biology feels simple until you encounter the actual complexity of the subject.
Genetics and inheritance form the core of my intellectual life. Molecular biology and homeostasis provide the essential framework for understanding life. I guide students through mitosis and meiosis alongside protein synthesis.
Scientific method application remains central to my instruction. The nervous system and cell biology represent my favorite topics to deconstruct. I approach biology drawing as a precise scientific skill.
I help students shift from B/C grades to A grades and 5s on AP exams. My approach simplifies complex mechanisms into structured knowledge.

Students achieve deep conceptual mastery during these sessions. Success follows when the logic of biology becomes predictable and clear.
10 years of teaching high school students informs my instructional sequence. We begin with a diagnostic quiz before we build the study plan. We emphasize effective exam strategies so you can showcase what you know.
My focus remains on rigorous molecular biology and foundational theory. I look forward to exploring the molecular basis of life with you.
