About Kiera

I am 24 years old and I am really enjoying my career as a secondary school Biology and science teacher. I have been tutoring since the age of 15 and find it is an extremely rewarding job. I look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

I am a patient and hardworking tutor. My lessons would last an hour and would preferably be with secondary school pupils, although upper primary needing help with science would be okay. I have an honours degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology (with Biotechnology) as well as having recently passed my Postgraduate Diploma in Education (in Biology and science). I have tutored since the age of 15 and have been working as a full-time science and Biology teacher since August 2022.

I have plentiful experience tutoring, I also have experience teaching from N3 all the way up to Advanced Higher biology. My pedagogical skills allow me to ensure pupils truly understand the theory covered and this enables pupils to work to the best of their abilities. For those pupils who need help with exam technique I have a great depth of understanding in how marking schemes and SQA exams work. My travelling fee is to cover the cost of petrol as well as to compensate for my time, if you are extremely nearby this could be discussed and altered.
