I graduated from high school in the top 10% of my class and just earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University, the #1 flagship university of New York! I did not enter college knowing much of anything, but I left having a firm grasp on what it takes to succeed in STEM courses.

I approach my teaching by beginning with small wins. First, we start at the building blocks of the topic and we paint an overall picture, like an artist! I am a firm believer in practice problems and active recall. My practice problems would be oriented in a way that guides the student through the topic in a way their brain can grasp onto the information tightly.
