About Daniel
I am born and raised in North Carolina. Went to undergrad at University of Mount Olive getting my degree in Biology. Afterwards, I moved to Maryland to work for 2 years as a postbac student at the National Institutes of Health. I joined Baylor College of Medicine in 2016 as a Ph.D. student in the Molecular and Human Genetics program. I graduated in 2023 and moved to Baltimore to start a job as a postdoctoral fellow.

I enjoy working with high school level and above students. Teaching/tutoring in 1 on 1 or small groups is what I prefer. I've gone through quite a bit of schooling and am not that far removed from it. The unique challenges, frustrations, and anxieties are not that far from my mind. I am uniquely talented at putting complex topics into simplest terms and reinforcing key concepts to ensure retention of course material. A typical study session would involve highlighting what the student thinks their greatest weaknesses and building up core concepts and performing practice problems.
