About Tylor
I am a biological sciences student and I have spent a great deal of time in this field. I have worked in a graduate lab studying the field of ecology. I plan on becoming a 9-12 science teacher. Eventually I hope to obtain all relevant teaching certificates (maths, sciences, chemistry, physics). I am a former US Army Engineer and a member of NSLS (National Society of Leadership and Success).

My teaching methodology is based upon the student, if possible. If a student likes homework assignments, or doing notes, then I shape my teaching towards that. I really had fantastic instruction during my associates degree, and I found that mixed approaches often yield the best results. Memorization plays some key roles in biology, but application and understanding the topic I find helps build the beginnings of a good network that can feed into deeper instruction. The broader objective is important, not only for homework and tests, but for retaining the knowledge.
