About Nancy
I'm an experienced teacher, I've been tutoring privately for over 8 years. I love simplifying concepts to students, having been myself a struggling student when I was in my teens.
I understand exactly how these students feel and I use the same method that helped me turn it around and get top scores for university, to help them turn it around.
I'm passionate about teaching and watching students succeed is why I do what I do.
I'm a native English & French speaker and am also available for French language tutoring.

Here’s a little about my background:
Academically:
- (BSc) Biological Engineering
- IB diploma graduate from International School of Geneva
Work Experience:
- Teaching Assistant at the International School of Geneva, Switzerland
- Worked in the Learning Center of the International school tutoring grades 9-13 in various subjects
- Private tutor for middle school, high school and university students for the past 8 years.
- IB students I worked with average 40 points in exams and coursework.
Languages: English & French (both native)
Methodology:
- I take the time to understand how the student learns so I can adapt my teaching methods to their learning style.
- I break down concepts into simple ideas and ensure students master it (by running questions) before moving on.
- I have access to past papers (for IB/IGSCE students) and use them to teach students how to approach questions.
- I use an interactive virtual whiteboard to talk through questions so students can see what I'm doing in real-time, they can also write on the board to answer questions.
- I am available by text for questions between lessons, free of charge.
