I always start by breaking down a students issues into its basics. For a particular topic I may start by going through and assessing related or preceding topics in order to give the student a grounding. From there I can work through multiple methods to ensure quality and efficient tutoring. I use a number of techniques from active learning activities. Interactive sessions (where applicable), or university style lecturing. The approaches used will be decided by myself and the student to tailor to their specific needs.
