About Mckenna
I received my bachelors of science in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and went to work as a viral vector technician in the biotechnology industry. I’ve interned with MD Anderson Cancer center and continue to collaborate with them on projects relating to my PhD research. I've maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my graduate program and have committed to the idea of trying my absolute best in everything I do. My time in academia and industry has given me the experience to teach and train others on a variety of complex science concepts, skills, and techniques. I am confident I can help do the same for you.

As I round out the second year of my PhD program and continue to take classes at the University of Texas at Austin, I continue to apply the knowledge gained in my undergrad to my research. That said, I am constantly referrring back to old material and feel it is fresh in my mind and easy to explain to others. I have tutored for advanced biochemistry courses and have experience training undergrads and graduate rotational students in anything from basic to more complex concepts of all things related to biochemistry and immunology. My expertise also extends to academic reading and writing, skills essential for applying and succeeding in any graduate program.
