About Joshua

Hi, I’m Joshua — a biology major and pre-med student who genuinely enjoys helping others understand chemistry. I know what it’s like to feel stuck or overwhelmed, and I approach tutoring with patience, clarity, and a down-to-earth attitude. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, so I always create a supportive, judgment-free space. I’m reliable, easy to talk to, and fully committed to helping you feel more confident with the material. My goal is to not just help you get through your class, but to actually understand and maybe even enjoy what you’re learning.

As a biology major on the pre-med track who earned As in both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry I, I understand how to break down complex chemistry topics into clear, manageable steps. My tutoring style is patient, engaging, and focused on building real understanding rather than relying on memorization.

Each session is tailored to the student’s needs, but typically we’ll review core concepts, go through practice problems together, and then work on applying those skills independently. I emphasize visual learning, step-by-step mechanisms, and test-taking strategies that help students feel confident during exams.

What sets me apart is that I’ve faced the same challenges and figured out how to overcome them — I relate to my students, and I make sure they feel heard and supported. I focus on making chemistry feel less intimidating and more intuitive.

These lessons are ideal for college students taking General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry I, especially those looking for personalized support with mechanisms, resonance, acid-base chemistry, or exam preparation. Whether you're aiming to boost your grade or just trying to keep up, I’ll help you get there.
