About Sara
Hi! My name is Sara, and I’m a Biochemistry & Biotechnology graduate. I completed the IB program in high school, specializing in both Chemistry and Biology, so I understand firsthand the rigor and expectations of advanced high school academics.
I currently teach Science, Math, and English from elementary through high school levels. In addition to my academic background, I am actively involved in research and working toward publishing my own work, which keeps me deeply connected to the subjects I teach and allows me to bring real-world scientific insight into my lessons.
I have previous tutoring experience, including working with ESL students and students with ADHD. I understand that every learner is different, and I pride myself on being patient, adaptable, and supportive. My teaching style is tailored to each student; I combine strong conceptual understanding with plenty of practice, breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps and connecting them to real-life applications. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to build their confidence and independence.
Whether a student is struggling with focus, preparing for exams, or simply looking to strengthen their foundation, I aim to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where they feel supported and capable.

Our first lesson will focus on getting to know each other. In order to have successful sessions, it’s important that we understand how we each learn and communicate. My goal is to understand your learning style and adapt my teaching style to find what works best for you.
A typical lesson usually begins with me asking if there is anything specific you would like to review or work on. If not, I come prepared with structured PowerPoint slides focused on a particular topic. These lessons include clear explanations of theory, guided examples that we solve together, and practice questions for you to try independently. I strongly believe in balancing concept understanding with practice.
That being said, I am always happy to adjust the format to suit your needs.
As someone who was once a student navigating challenging courses, I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. That’s why I prioritize building a supportive and comfortable learning environment. At the end of the day, my goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and successful!
