About Cassie

I am currently studying Biochemistry Engineering while I am a Rideshare driver. My entire schedule is flexible so I am very reliable. I have been tutoring since the 5th grade. My first experience was a program in my Elementary school helping out in the Special Education department to help those learn to read and sharpen their basic math skills.

About the lesson

I am able to approach questions in multiple ways, tailored to each student so they are able to understand. I usually start off by getting to know the student so I can use examples that relate to what they know and like. Normally a lesson will start with a review of what they are learning. I have them summarize what they learned from the teacher's lesson, what they do understand followed by what they don't. We will go over examples, and usually the first homework question, then I will supervise them going through a problem. The first couple I will stop them when they have an error, then I will allow them to do a problem, check it, and then I check it. All very simple. I can help them improve their studying by asking them questions and getting them thinking about the subject rather than talking at them. In a way, I'm helping them teach themselves. I have lessons for everyone from Pre-K to College level. I excelled in College Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science.
