About Mariano

Originally from Guatemala, I am a native Spanish speaker with firsthand experience of the diverse ways Spanish is spoken across different countries. Having traveled extensively, I understand the cultural and linguistic nuances that shape the language. I graduated from an English-speaking school, earning my high school diploma in Austin, Texas. I also completed two exchange programs—one in Virginia and another in London—strengthening my fluency and understanding of the English language. Currently I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in Spain, but my entire program is conducted in English. Beyond academics, I am passionate about language, I am an avid reader and writer.
