About Laura
I am a General Education and Foreign Language Tutor with 3.5 years of experience in a school setting. I worked for the La Mesa Spring Valley School district as en Extended School Services Program Aide. This job presented me with the opportunity to gain experience working with children and youth, including children with developmental disabilities.
I graduated from San Diego State University with BA´s in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology. My professional goal is to gain a Master´s Degree in order to become a School Psychologist.

I would describe my teaching approach as age appropriate, engaging and hands-on learning. I like to have students involved in the lesson by asking questions and working on small activities, which are meant to help them gain a deeper understanding on the subject. Also, this gives me the opportunity to get to know my students, to measure their progress, and to adapt to the students learning styles.
