About Laura
I am currently pursing my Master's in journalism at UC Berkeley. I am interested in helping you improve your writing skills, knock your college essays out of the park, and/or develop your Spanish language skills.
I have past experience as a communications professional with a background in international relations with prior language teaching experience in a university setting. I have taught large groups of students and done one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions. I am a native bilingual Spanish speaker with extensive coursework in both languages.

I like to develop lesson plans that are aligned with students' language goals. I like to incorporate student interests into lessons and use a variety of media and hands-on exercises that work well for various learning styles. I also like to ask my students to explain concepts or demonstrate proficiency to me to ensure they have grasped the material before moving on to the next lesson.
