About Parthvi
Hi, I'm Parthvi, a dedicated and high-achieving rising Grade 11 student with a passion for mathematics, learning, and helping others succeed academically. I have completed advanced high school courses, including MCR3U (Functions, with a 95% average) and EAE3U (English, with a 98% average), ahead of schedule and have earned distinctions in multiple University of Waterloo mathematics contests, demonstrating both strong subject knowledge and problem-solving ability.
I am pursuing a bilingual diploma and previously studied in Montréal, allowing me to tutor fluently in both English and French. My academic success is built on strong study habits, organization, and a genuine interest in understanding concepts deeply rather than relying on memorization alone.
As a tutor, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I understand that every student learns differently, and I take the time to adapt explanations and practice to their individual needs. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop the confidence and skills necessary for long-term academic success.
Having recently completed many of the courses my students are taking, I am familiar with current curriculum expectations and common challenges. My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I break complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and encourage students to explain their reasoning so that I can identify and address gaps in understanding. I adapt each lesson to the student's learning style, whether they benefit most from visual explanations, worked examples, guided practice, or problem-solving challenges.
A typical lesson would begin with a review of previous material and any questions the student may have. We then work through new concepts together, and finish each session with a summary of key ideas and strategies the student can use independently on assignments, quizzes, and exams.
What sets me apart is that I have recently completed many of the same courses and assessments that my students are taking. I understand the expectations of today's curriculum and can explain concepts in a relatable, student-friendly way. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build confidence, critical thinking skills, and long-term academic success.
My lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students, as well as early high school students (up to Grade 10) studying mathematics. I can provide support with homework, test preparation, foundational skills, enrichment, and course-specific content.
