About Hope

I am an experienced ELD (English Language Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher with a strong background in supporting language learners at different levels. I have several years of classroom experience working with diverse students, including many Spanish-speaking learners, which allows me to explain concepts clearly and effectively. I also hold a degree in Spanish, which helps me better understand the challenges of learning a second language.

I am known for being patient, supportive, and highly organized in my teaching approach. I create structured lessons that are tailored to each student's goals, while also maintaining a comfortable and encouraging environment. My goal is not only to help you improve your English skills, but also to build your confidence so you can communicate successfully in real-world situations.

About the lesson

I am an experienced ELD (English Language Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher who specializes in helping middle school students, high school students, and adults build confidence and fluency in English. Being bilingual in Spanish and English, I work especially well with Spanish-speaking learners, but I support students from all backgrounds, and have worked with students and adults from multiple countries across every continent. I focus on supporting them in improving their speaking, writing, reading, and overall communication skills.

My lessons are structured, personalized, and goal-oriented. Whether you want to improve conversational English, succeed in school, prepare for exams, or feel more confident in professional or everyday situations, I tailor each session to your needs. A typical lesson includes guided conversation, targeted skill practice, and real-world application so you can immediately use what you learn.

My lessons are designed for older students (6th-12th grade) and adults who want to improve their English for real-life communication, school, ELPAC test prep, or professional goals.

What sets me apart is my ability to explain concepts clearly and create a supportive, comfortable environment. I focus on building skill and confidence, so you not only improve your English, but also feel more confident using it in real life. I also have classroom experience and spend every day using and developing strategies in the classroom environment.
