About Maya
Hello! I have always been an avid writer and reader, so completing my Masters-level thesis and writing countless essays over the years have been fun and enjoyable processes! Today, I am a Manager at a top global consulting firm, which means that I write briefs, build powerpoint presentations and facilitate oral presentations for a living. I love what I do, but I also recognize that my penchant for written and oral communication is a desired skill. I’m excited to mentor and tutor our future leaders by empowering you to develop top-notch, professional and distinguishable products. I can show you the tricks, and help prepare you for your academic and/or professional goals! More importantly, I can show you that writing and speaking can be FUN!

Writing and presentations, no matter the subject, are all about the art of storytelling. A well-crafted written or oral product will take its audience on a clear journey from start to finish, keeping them engaged and expertly highlighting key/relevant points along the way. In my experience helping my clients, I’ve learned that many people skip over an important step in the writing process- “storyboarding”, also known as an outline and brainstorm. My course will teach you how to outline and storyboard your written and/or oral product, how to craft and articulate a well-developed story, and how to leverage that product when creating new ones down the line.
