About Sherrie
Developing vocal control over 8 years of teaching reveals that singing feels like an athlete catching their breath during a high intensity sprint. My classical training at the University of Oklahoma provides a solid base, while my active career in contemporary styles keeps my methods fresh and grounded in reality. I balance the technical needs of 100s of students with the artistic drive of gigging singers and hobbyists.
It is truly rewarding to watch a student find freedom in their mix. Students often find that clarifying their genre styling or refining their vibrato brings immense satisfaction to their daily practice. Seeing someone realize that their head and chest voice can coexist safely is the best part of my day.

Starting with a free trial lesson allows us to assess your current range and clarify your specific musical goals. Honestly, hearing a voice for the first time is always an exciting mystery.
During these 60 minute blocks, I use my 8 years of experience to prioritize microphone technique and rhythm. Performance confidence matters. We will work on pitch control and phrasing to ensure you are ready for any stage. I look forward to helping you shape your sound into something you are proud to share with an audience.
