About Anni
With 6 years of teaching and professional performance experience, I am a passionate violin tutor committed to helping students develop technical skill, artistic expression, and self-confidence. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners discovering foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for recitals, competitions, and exams.
One of the highlights of my career has been seeing students grow from struggling with posture, technique, or stage confidence to confident performers capable of playing with skill, emotion, and expressive musicality. My teaching emphasises building strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also fostering creativity, musical interpretation, and expressive performance. I integrate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to provide students with a holistic and well-rounded understanding of music.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style, creating a supportive, patient, and inspiring environment where students feel encouraged to explore, express themselves, and achieve their full potential. Teaching violin allows me to nurture confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music.

I teach violin with a methodology grounded in motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to help students develop technical skill, artistic expression, and self-confidence. Lessons are customised to each student’s goals, abilities, and learning style, blending technical exercises, creative exploration, improvisation, and performance preparation.
Motivation drives progress. I help students set realistic goals, monitor their achievements, and celebrate milestones, fostering perseverance, engagement, and a love for music. Students learn to embrace challenges as stepping stones towards improvement, building resilience and determination.
Communication ensures lessons are collaborative and interactive. Students can ask questions, discuss difficulties, and share ideas freely, creating an open and supportive learning environment.
Creativity is integrated throughout every lesson. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises encourage students to explore their artistic voice and connect emotionally to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined practice, responsible effort, and respect for learning, forming habits that support long-term excellence and growth.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and piano, giving students a complete and well-rounded musical education. This approach nurtures technical skill, artistic expression, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music.
