About Tom

Teaching-artist, Tom Stroll——Director at MindfulMusicLessons.ORG——is a Singer-Songwriter, CLASSICALLY-trained VIOLINIST & JAZZ-trained SAXOPHONIST, who earned his bachelor’s in music theory & composition (NYU) and has taught over a dozen instruments:
STRINGS, VOICE, HORNS, PERCUSSION, & PIANO!

Stroll has played in rock bands, jazz bands, choirs, musical theater troupes, symphonic orchestras, as well as produced & co-wrote alternative pop rock records.

Stroll draws on a vast range of experience in film, tv, apps, games, web dev, print, radio, cooking, athletics, & theater to share BIG ideas SIMPLY, & in different ways so you (or your child) not only HEAR, but also UNDERSTAND, & REMEMBER the music/topic.

Rhythm, timing, & composing (with alternate tunings) are of particular interest to him, so Game on!
