About Daniel
I earned my Master of Music in Music Production (MMMP) degree from Berklee College of Music and have had the great benefit of working with and/or learning from many music industry greats including Sean Slade [Radiohead, Warren Zevon, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones], Susan Rogers [Prince, CSN], Scott Jacoby [Vampire Weekend], Eddie Kramer [Led Zeppelin, K.I.S.S] and many more. I was personally tutored by Berklee's premiere mixer Rich Mendelson and studied Mastering under Jonathan Wyner [YouTube: "Are You Listening?"]. I am originally from New York and am a native English speaker but also speak advanced Mandarin Chinese. I reside in Beijing, China where I have access to three studios and teach and work remotely across the world on a regular basis.

I tailor my tutoring sessions to each student's level of experience and use screen sharing with audio from both ends so that I can demonstrate techniques as well as guide and comment on those of the student. Specific topics include: Pre-production - Songwriting - Arrangement - Sound Design Recording Techniques - Production Strategies - Music Technology Post-production - Vocal Comping/Tuning - Mixing - Mastering We can focus on one or several of these topics or create a broader learning arc to cover them all. I can provide many materials such as audio files for mixing/mastering, guide you in setting up your studio/gear and learning it. Help you with free and premium software, give commentary on your songs/tracks/productions, illustrate techniques of the masters and much more. In addition to being an online tutor I am also a university level educator and former corporate trainer. I've worked with students and clients of all levels from middle/high school students, through collegiate and even executive level learners. My lessons are interactive with actionable assignments and feedback given.
